Dr Ngatata Love is from Te Atiawa, Taranaki, Ngati Ruanui, Ngaruahinerangi, Ngati Tama, Ngati Mutunga, Ngati Te Whiti and Tawhirikura descent. He is Professor in the Victoria University School of Management, Emeritus Professor at Massey University, a Director of a number of companies including New Zealand Post, and Chairman of several Maori organisations including the Wellington Tenths Trust, Palmerston North Maori Reserve, Port Nicholson Block Claims Team and Te Tatau o Te Po Marae. He is the Deputy Chairman of the Hui Taumata Trust. Previously he was the Chief Executive Officer, Ministry of Maori Development, and has served on the New Zealand Law Commission.
